Q Hall of Fame's profile

British Columbia

The Q Hall of Fame is a national resource, headquartered in Vancouver British Columbia, to house and commemorate the history of the LGBT community.

Canada has a rich and diverse past as an international leader in the human rights movement; this is particularity true when considering the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered peoples.

The Q Hall of Fame is dedicated to educating and supporting the LGBT community by preserving our history for future generations. All of our inductees have impacted the lives of countless people be it through art, music, activism, politics, or countless other activities.

We honour and celebrate those that have championed human rights for the LGBT community, and document the accomplishments and lives of these amazing people. Inductees are chosen by an independent selection committee from nominations received directly form the community.

It is our belief that these Canadians exemplify the best in all of us and demonstrate what we can achieve when we are dedicated to ensuring equality for all.

If you know of an outstanding person who you think is deserving of this national recognition, consider nominating them for induction into the Q Hall of Fame.
